Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TempShare (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information, including Google Account data when OAuth is used.

1. The Service

TempShare provides temporary file upload and short-lived download links. Features, retention periods, size limits, authentication options (including Google Sign-In where enabled), and availability may change without notice depending on the operator’s configuration and capacity.

The Service is not a backup, archive, or long-term storage product. Do not rely on it as the only copy of important data.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. Public upload may not require an account. Where accounts or administrator access are available — including access via Google OAuth — you must keep credentials confidential, use only accounts you are authorized to use, and comply with any scope of access granted to you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Upload malware, phishing material, or other harmful content
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
  • Distribute child sexual abuse material or other illegal content
  • Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Abuse bandwidth, storage, authentication, or rate limits
  • Misuse Google Account access or attempt to obtain data beyond authorized scopes

We may remove content, disable links, revoke authentication, or block access when we believe these Terms have been violated or when required for security and legal compliance.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of files you upload. You grant the Service a limited license to store, process, and transmit your files solely to provide temporary sharing and cleanup. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for how you share links.

5. Temporary nature and no backup

Files and links are temporary and may expire, be deleted by cleanup jobs, or become unavailable due to errors or operator actions. We are not obligated to restore expired or deleted content.

6. Links and access

Anyone with a valid link may access the associated file until it expires or is removed. Treat links as confidential. We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from shared or leaked links.

7. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party services such as Google authentication or hosting providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

8. Intellectual property

The Service name, branding, software, and design are owned by their respective owners. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service except as allowed by law.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND THE SERVICE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ZERO IF THE SERVICE IS FREE).

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify the Service operator against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your content or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. If you used Google Sign-In, you may also revoke access from your Google Account settings.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of this deployment, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
